The way some peeps are now bashing on the sonic movies for being live action when we now have understanding it’s possible to do a good video game live action movie and have it co exist with a animated video game movie

She doesn’t literally MEAN it. She desperately wants to be selfish just this once. She wants to be able to have what she wants after a lifetime of putting everything and everyone before herself. It’s not fair that they can’t know each other, that even this must be taken from her for everyone else’s sake.
But she does care. And they both know that. Sonic doesn’t explain anything or try to convince her, because they both know they will do the right thing. He just tells her to smile- to remember the time they shared with joy while she still can.

The smile drops off Cloud’s face when he spots Aerith talking to some kids and his mouth turns down again. Aerith turns to him, says her line, and leaves with Zack, and then Cloud smiles again knowing that things are all right because he has his wife, kids and health back and the guilt that was crippling him with depression is gone.
